Two local farming brothers recognized a chance when Morocco’s Sahara Desert, particularly the stunning dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga, started drawing tourists from all over the world. They bought a single 4WD car in order to show tourists the desert’s unspoiled scenery, nomadic culture, and undiscovered routes.
Big things arise from tiny beginnings, as the saying goes.
Two of their kids, who are now cousins and co-founders, followed in their fathers’ footsteps while growing up in the middle of the Sahara. They were employed as young guys in conventional motels and nearby desert camps. They learned their first English, Spanish, and French phrases there through regular discussions with foreign visitors.
Cousins came to the conclusion that tourists were losing out on the authentic, deeply ingrained Berber culture that only locals could experience. They were determined to close this gap and understood that they needed to have easy communication with their visitors. They enrolled in Moulay Ismail University in Meknes to study computer science (informatique) and English language.
They established Morocco Journey Packages with a lifetime of desert knowledge, technical expertise, and fluency in English.
